Graeme is a former professional rugby league player having played for first grade for Warrington Wolves, Workington Town, and Leigh Centurions. Graeme’s passion for sport resulted in him combining a playing career with academic studies in sports science at Liverpool John MooresUniversity and later a PhD in sport and exercise nutrition at the same university. In 2003 Graeme moved to the world leading free radical laboratories at the University of Liverpool where he developed his molecular biology skills before returning to LJMU in 2008 to continue his research and teaching in sports nutrition. He has published almost 40 papers on applied sport and exercise physiology & nutrition as well as 3 book chapters. Graeme is regularly invited to present his research at national and international meetings.
Graeme is possibly the only person in the UK accredited with the official body for sports science (BASES), sports nutrition (SENr) and strength & conditioning (UKSCA) which ensures that you receive balanced expert advice to ensure you achieve your training and nutritional goals.
